College Now Large Group Meetings
October 3rd - College Affordability Night - Seniors and their families are invited to attend a College Affordability
presentation on Thursday, October 3rd at 5:30 p.m. in the BHS auditorium. Jackson Stuff, our College Now advisor, will provide an overview of financial aid (scholarships, loans, and grants), as well as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as the FAFSA. The information in this program is relevant for students planning to attend a career center, community college, or four-year institution. FAFSA will open on December 1st, so please plan to join us for this timely and informative session.
November 19th - FSA ID Workshop - Jackson Stuff will meet with seniors to do a very brief FAFSA overview and will help students create their FSA ID. The FSA ID is a username and password combination used to log in to U.S. Department of Education (ED) online systems. This is necessary for all students & parents to have in order to fill out FAFSA (which opens in December). Students who plan on coming to the meeting on 11/19 to create their FSA ID need to bring their Chromebook and the following information: Full legal name (as it appears on their Social Security Card) & their 9-digit Social Security number. Students will bring home info to help their parent set up their FSA ID too.
April 15th - Junior Planning Night - Jackson Stuff will be here on April 15th at 5:30pm in the HS auditorium to host our Junior Planning Night. During this meeting, he will discuss the college search and college application process as well as FAFSA, scholarships and other financial aid information.
